Hi,

We are interested in your product 'JomSocial', but before buying it I would like to know what kind of permissions admins will have.
We want to create a community where only admins will able to edit everything (users profiles, avatars, groups, assign users to groups,...), so is it possible?.

Thank you. Hope your answer,

Marcos.

Hi, Marcos.

Super User is allowed do anything in the system :) So you should as different question: is it possible to lock all editing options for users so only Super User will be allowed to edit.

Yes, it's possible. It may require few hacks to hide edit buttons but still it can be done.

Just tell me a bit more, try to describe a scenario so I'll be 100% sure what solution you need.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Marcos,

Jomsocia doesn't have full Joomla ACL support but Joomla admins / super users have full access to all group and admin functions in Jomsocial. In groups as a site admin you can also promote a standard group member to a group admin which will add additional options to the user like changing avatars and controlling members of the group.

In regards to adding users to groups this is something that has to be don't from Joomla admin unless you use the invite user feature as a standard user

Please visit demo.jomsocial.com where you can try all the functions
