I wonder if you have plans/strategy regarding stable releases and if so what is it. I would like to extend my license but to save money (that my organisation has 0) I would like to do it is such moment when I can get as fresh as possible stable release so I could install it and not worry too much about it later (we have 0 engineers in the organisation except me). Ie. I would like to be sure that there will be minimum edge-case random bugs and maximum forward compatibility with joomla core (ie. you use only confirmed mid-term working core features, not some latest minor release undocumented helpers).
Basically - I don't want to experience some random problems soon after my license expire and be forced to extend the license again ;).
Something like ubuntu lts in terms of stability (I give up on 'long' in jomSocial case ;) )?
If you don't have official strategy around it do you anticipate and highlight some releases as 'stabilising/bugfixing' rather than 'and even more sparking features again' - thanks in advance, radek
It always exist for every release :). But you know, we are making software, and software always have bugs :D, we just try to minimalize the bugs as well, and that why we provide support services so if you have any issue just post to our forum. Indeed, some of issues / bugs are really complicated, because depend the 3rd party library(like on ubuntu issue or FFMPEG issue on CentOS).
Well, we are working hard for making next mayor package release version 3.3, if you want you can wait for that version.

hey Dimas,
Thanks for quick and detailed response - what time do you, more or less, anticipate to get v3.3 out - it is 1 months - isn't it? I.e. if I decide to buy my license today how likely it would be to have v3.3 released within the 6 months of my license period - I think I will be good - just double checking.
I found as well this page
www.jomsocial.com/features/changelog
that shows nicely your historical releases and release types - found it very helpful as well.
