before starting i am wondering if jomsocial is suitable for my project which is a bit hybrid

I would like to use JomSocial for my clients : as a hybrid between a Community and a CRM. I don't want my members to be able to speak with each other or subscribe to or create groups themselves

I need to create groups and subscribe my clients to them myself. give them access to documents, ask them private questions within the group, get private replies
And I need to use the conversation part of Jomsocial only on a private basis = 1 to 1 or 1 to selected members (based on filtering)

On this last part, is this a feature you offer : selecting a short list of members based on their profile information and sending a message to this list ?

Do you think JomSocial will fit my needs ?

Hi Romain,

Out of the box this is not possible, It would require a lot of custom development, The development is not difficult to do but there would be quite a lot of menus and functions that would need to be disabled or hidden

Just to be sure I get your answer : do you mean actual code modifyng or just configuration of JomSocial without coding

In any case how long would you say that would take ? And do you know who could do that well ?

This would require code changes by a developer, there are no options or settings that can be made to make this possible
