Hello,

I read in the FAQ that JomSocial supports Joomla 2.5 and 3.x. However, I also read this: "Since 07 January 2013, JomSocial 2.8 requires at least Joomla 2.5.6 or Joomla 3.0.2; however, full support for Joomla 3 is still a work in process and official technical support for this version is not provided."

In light of this, what version of Joomla is recommended to use for the current version of JomSocial for maximum compatibility? Thank you.

Hi Christina,

We recommend to use the latest Joomla! version. Right now it's Joomla! 3.3.6 and you can grab it from here: joomla.org.

Remember to use always the latest versions, this way you will keep your site updated and secure.

Best regards,
