My community is very closed in terms of where they are from, and is only for preople living in the same state.
As the admin, have I got any way of checking IPs upon registration of new members?
Or would this be handled by a separate plugin?

you would need to install a 3rd party plugin to do that we don't use IP's in our product or the registration
