I am currently looking for a Joomla Social plugin for my non-profit website.

Can Jomsocial do the following:

1) Be setup in a way so there is only one group that everyone posts to. Almost like a public image posting wall which also allows comments from other members?

2) I would also need to write an Android phone application that members can use to login and post images to the public wall via an API. I understand that Jomsocial has an API but I am unable to confirm this functionality as the documentation only seems accessible to people that have purchased a licence?

3) Is there any way of getting a free trial so I can get the integration setup and then when using in live will pay for licence?

Hi Julian,

You can set up groups from the admin panel and not allow groups to be created by users, so one group is possible. In regard to the API for writing to walls, there are companies like www.jomsocial.com/addons/mobile/ijoomer-...ne-app-for-jomsocial that are providing services for this.

At the moment we do not offer any kind of free trial.
