I have a project at present where I need to create a Joomla site that has both published content and social elements. The front/home page needs to reflect content and show featured/latest articles etc (and I'm considering the template www.icetheme.com/themes/it-community-2 ), while I also need to provide users with the ability to post updates, comments on each other's updates, create groups and events etc. Having browsed the JomSocial site and demo I can see that this will fulfill the needs for the social community part of the site. From your experience, can I ask if combining JomSocial and the IT Communiuty 2 template could meet my needs here please? Many thanks.

I am not familiar with that template but i had a quick look and couldn't see anything that looked wrong, It is a good idea to check that they support the latest version of Jomsocial which is 3.2.05 currently. you can always compare features to demo.jomsocial.com to see that everything is working as expected
