Hi, just looking at the demo of the new version,

went to profile and I see that it still has friends groups etc in a right hand position, can this be disabled and displayed in a module position instead?

The modules like events / groups/ members that appear within the component area are all joomla modules and you can specify any template module position. As well as this, jomsocial itself has many module positions too which is how they appear on the right hand side as you see

I see , that might be why I could not see them in jomsocial admin demo which is where they were on old version, what module positions are they?

Sorry forgot to ask, is there a discount to upgrade from old version?

Thank you. I will upgrade today then, before I do, what module positions are the highlighted sections, on the image I uploaded. I only ask as I have a custom template on my site and that layout would not be compatible?

Hi Trevor,

these positions are used exactly the same as you would a Joomla module position, if you don't assign any joomla module to them, then the postbox and stream will fill the space. Have a look at my screen shot, Lets say you have your own joomla module you wanted to show there in the module position you simply add js_profile_top as the position and it will appear there.
