I'm wondering few things about Jomsocial before purchase. I wish to use Jomsocial as a business network of local businesses.
Some little shops in my town are regroup under an association, they wish a website that every member could create their own "places" that describes their activities.
So i was thinking about "Groups", so ...
- Can we customize "Groups" in "Local Shops" ?
- Can we modify access for creating groups for only few people ? I mean this will a place where shops meet inhabitants, but inhabitants wont be able to create their own "Business" (aka groups) without authorization.
- Is there a basic template about Jomsocial that we could use ? Free template, very basic one ?
- Or can we use our Joomla 2.5 / 3.0 template for Jomsocial (or it wont fit ?)
I wish to purchase the $99 offer, wishes my project requirements fit with possibilities offers by jomsocial.
You can change the name of groups to what ever would suit your business the best, this can easily be done using joomla language overrides. Everywhere you see the word group for example would say Local shops.
You could limit the access to the create groups to "Moderate Group Creation" which is a setting in admin so only administrators can publish the "local business" that a user has created
Templates are available for to blend Jomsocial into your website, We have one called socialize
socialize.jomsocial.com
there are also many more available or if you want to keep it simply you can leave the default look which works with most standard joomla site templates.
I hope this answers your questions for you and if you need further help please contact us again.
