We would like to use JoomSocial as an application to bring together two user groups (Group A and Group B). For Group A, we would like for them to have full use of all of the functions that JoomSocial offers in the Professional Edition. However, for Group B, we do not want them to have visibility of Group A's Activity Stream, Friends, Groups, Photos and Videos. Therefore, we only want Group B to be able to create new Events with Group A and send/receive messages and see whether Group A is online.
Can you tell me whether this is possible out of the box, or whether with the assistance of a Developer this is possible.
You can make groups private then anything that happens in the group cannot be seen unless you are a member of the group. But then this rules out this scenario

I think this may need some customization as it won't be possible out of the box. We have a list of developers here if you want to find out what the costs my be to achieve what you are wanting
