I am running Joomla 2.5 with a bridge to phpbb3 I am looking to move to Jomsocial I do not want to loose the members around 6000 and the forum posts / topics is there an easy way to move it to Jomsocial / kurena or do you offer a service to move it across

Mick

Hi Micahel,

if you are using a bridge to sync PHPBB3 back to the joomla user tables then users will be no issue as Jomsocial sits on top of the Joomla user table so all users can still log in to joomla/jomsocial/PHPBB3

As for then migrating your PHPBB3 into Kunena you would need to look around for a migration tool, a while ago i think i have seen some topics regarding this www.kunena.org/docs/PHPBB3_to_Kunena

Please note that we don't offer support for kunena. Migration like this you would need to be done by yourself or hire a developer the above link was just to assist you with what can be done.

Jomsocial has a module that shows the users latest posts from Kunena.

I hope this helps you
