I have an existing website for an Association of specialised group of professional instructors which runs Community Builder. Can JomSocial be integrated with CB? For other purposes of the Association it's essential that we continue running Community Buider, but we would like to have a Facebook-like group within the site for general chat and communication and members have expressed a preference for the Facebook-type layout and functionality over the Kunena Forum that the site currently runs.
It wouldn't be a major problem if we had to run JomSocial in a sub-domain or even on a different domain so long as there was only one login across the whole platform.
Is this possible?
Jomsocial uses the Joomla user table so if you are a Joomla user then you are a jomsocial user. I'm not sure if community builder does the same. If it does i cant see that there would be an issue. I have seen a few sites over the years with both installed on it. but I'm not sure how well they co exist
