I never used Joomsocial, but i am an advanced joomla user. Now i have a project who ask me for joomsocial, but i do not know at 100% if joomsocial fit the features. they are:
- User profile: name, photo, fee (within the company), territorial area to which it belongs in the company. Perhaps we need 2 or 3 more fields to define (text and select fields)
- Private messaging system between users
- Friends: add, list, visit, search
- Groups: Includes an information sheet, forum, wall, and photo gallery
- Group administrators can enable or disable the above features, ie control group and their movements
- Wall
On the other hand the users are the same than joomla users or we have to do a parallel registration system (i mean it is a complete different table) and it is not linked to users table

ANSWER: Jomsocial has multiple profiles that can be used but the fee option would need to be done by a membership addon
