A1 1. Users can add photos, videos, events and share their opinions.
Adding articles is a ACL setting in Joomla!.
To add banners you'll need this extension: adagency.ijoomla.com/
Sobi pro has own ACL setting and it's not integrated directly with JomSocial.

Q1b. Do articles a user ads through joomla, show a link in their profile?
is adagency the only plugin to integrate banners in jomsocial?

Q2 Is front editing available in jomsocial?

Thank you for contacting us, I will try answer your questions one by one :

Q1. Yes member can, but you also need to combine this with the 3rd party plugin (article, banner, sobipro)

A1. Currently Jomsoical is not fully supported with ACL, but for ads banner jomsocial can achive this, you can use the ads banner and put it inside Jomsocial module position

Q1b. Yes this is possible, you need to enable plugin / app my article plugin for it

Q2. What do you want to edit? group, event, profile, discussion and all jomsocial features actually can be editing in frontpage.

Lastly, we are reviewing most of the popular social plugs, we are leaning toward jomsocial, with CB second, I would like to know why you think jomsocial is better?

To show list of added photos, videos, event etc.. yes it can be done with module, we have modules for it

It only will show by creator at the first time the article created

Yes it can, you can use our plugin (jomsocial redirect plugin) for this

ehm.. currently I recommended to use easyblog.. years ago we had 'myblog' but we discountinued it :(
