Jomsocial + Akeeba backup

Hi,

I have a few questions. but my major question is:
- I signed up for a 15 day Jomsocial trial. I set things up the way my client wants it. I tried to install Akeeba but it won't show in the list of components. is this because I'm using the 15 day trial? will I be able to install and backup files and database once I buy JomSocial?

my other questions are:

- my client doesn't want members to be able to create events and discussion groups, but he would like to create them from the back end (I have given him Administrator / Publisher permission). How do I set that up?

- Similarly if he wants to do the same for images and videos ?

- How do I change the layout for the Jomsocial home page (like if I want to take off/modify the image behind that "Get Connected" module?

Thanks,
Farsheed

Hi, Farsheed.

Wrong place to ask :) Log in to your jomsocial.me account and post a ticket there.
I'll answer you :)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

I can't log in there.
I haven't bought JomSocial yet and I don't have an account.
