Purchased Previously But Can't Post For Help In Support Forum

JomSocial Expired

We had a license for JomSocial and last year the previous webmaster upgraded to a Joomla version for which JomSocial was not compatible. So, we had to disable access to the community. But, I've run into a significant problem in trying to uninstall what we did pay for. Our license has since run out but I do need support to successfully uninstall your product that we purchased. It seems i cannot post to the technical support area because our license is not active. I am hoping you can route this to someone who can help. HERE'S THE ISSUE: I tried to uninstall JomSocial through the administrator panel. I quickly noticed the Joomla users disappeared - here I mean all users/administrators, not to be confused with JomSocial registered users. I then found I could not log into the administrator panel at all. I had my web hosting company restore some files I logged into the administrator panel successfully after that. Appearances indicate JomSocial is gone - there is no reference to it in the Extensions in the administrator panel. But, the com_community file folder, etc. is still in my cpanel file manager. I would like to delete those files. I just did some experimenting to see the potential impact of deleting that folder. All I did was rename com_community to com_disabledcommunity. Immediately afterwards, I could not log into my administrator panel, I just got a white screen. I went back into cpanel, changed the folder name back to com_community and then I was able to log into the administrator panel again. How can I safely delete unnecessary JomSocial files? I don't want to leave files of unused components on the server as they can pose security issues. Apparently, some JomSocial files must be preserved as they impact regular Joomla users and they impact the administrator panel. Can someone please help? Thank you.

Hi Sue,

We only provide 6 months support for your previous purchased :) because your subscription expired, we can't provide any support to you :) for uninstalling jomsocial maybe you can search or ask in joomla forum or in Joomla Documentation :)
