Hi, I have been asked to migrate a Joomla 2.5.18 site with Jomsocial 2.6.2 to Joomla 3.2.x.
Just a straight forward Joomla upgrade broke Jomsocial. Is it possible at all without loosing the data and what are the required steps?
First you'll need upgrade JomSocial to current version as JomSocial 2.6.2 will not work in 3.2.2.
The you can upgrade Joomla! with JomSocial as usual with Joomla! upgrade feature (just switch from Joomla! LTS to short term support).
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
