We are about to upgrade our whole system to Joomla 3 and are also in the process of selecting a fully responsive Template. In doing so, we are evaluating whether to stay with Jomsocial and also whether to use the new Socialize template.
My questions are
Will your Socialize template and Jomsocial work happily and well with other Joomla Responsive components. Those we will be using are:-
1) Easyblog
2) SobiPro (Using BizTabs Template)
3) JS Jobs (New Version released in 3 weeks will be Fully Responsive)
4) DJ Classifieds
5) Community Answers
In addition to these Components, we will also be looking to display Advertising (Banners, Leaderboards, Skyscrapers, Buttons etc.) in various positions on the Right hand side and centre of each page.
Finally, we operate a growing number of Hyperlocal sites which requires certain areas of our content AND Menu system to be specific to that location.

Glad hearing from you that you are interested to get jomsocial and socialize template.
Socialize template is inspired by Bootstrap and T3 Framework.
So any third party component that are using bootstrap is easily compatible with socialize template.
But if there any third party component that didn't use bootstrap,
at our socialize template we have an option to override css styling at "custom.css"
