Hello there,
I would like to ask regarding expertise level of making social website using jomsocial. I read the documentation of jomsocial which showing some programming work with php or CSS.
I'm a newbie in website making but we'll understanding in joomla work and use of ready made template.
It is a silly question to ask, but I like to build my site without too much far hiring a programmer as it is only for use by small community. Does jomsocial easy to launch without any much programming skill required?

JomSocial is prepared to work out of the box. After installation you need to configure JomSocial just like any other Joomla component e.g title of your Community or enable/disable certain modules. JomSocial has also it own template which is quite neutral. So you don't really need to modify it.
And ALWAYS if you'll have problems with configuration, any feature request or issues - just post it on our forum. We are here to help :)
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
