Just noticed that an album which contains over 1500 images states there is only 1000 in the modal view.

To fix modal counter please open this file components/com_community/controllers/photos.php, find this code

$photos = $model->getPhotos($albumId, 1000);

$photos = $model->getPhotos($albumId, 1000000);

I hope she doesn't upload 1,000,000 pictures to one album lol

That is quick fix, we dont have any proper fix for this except we change all code stucture.. but well, it will be very rare issue
