ISSUE SUMMARY: My site is in Chinese and users are Chinese too. There are so many video sources in China but none of them is in the list of your video providers. As a result, my users can not upload any of their favorite videos into my site because your video providers (including YouTube, Yahoo Video,...etc) are just a few, so the limitation on the video providers can't satisfy the need of our Chinese users.
Is there any alternative way to work around this situation?
Thanks.

Maybe you should contact the goverment to open the blocked sites lol, im just kidding sorry..
The solution is you need use hidden proxy to download the video source from youtube ect.. and then you re-upload the video on your site, and make sure you install FFMPEG for it
I'm afraid you didn't get it. It's not me who wanted to upload videos. My users in China and elsewhere needed to upload their desired videos into my site using your jomsocial software where you only have limited video providers allowed for url video sources. I sometimes wanted to add video url from dailymail.co.uk but couldn't do it because the list of your video providers doesn't allow url from dailymail.co.uk or CNN videos.
So, what I'm asking is how you may enhance your video compatibility so users would have wide choices to add any video url at their wish. This is extremely important for my users to be able to add their desired videos or they just walk away because of the functionality issues of this jomsocial networking software in my website.
