Hi, Charles.

I'm sorry but this is not an issue ans it's working as designed.
Uploaded videos need to be processed and recompiled to web format.
That's why notification is displayed.
You need to have configured cron job and video settings like paths to FFMPEG library.
No uploaded video will be processed and displayed instantly after upload (e.g you may check on YouTube how it works).

So make sure that you've set cron job properly:

documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job

And if you configured videos in JomSocial correctly:

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

We just updated our version but are still having issues with the videos. Can you please look at this and see if it is setup correctly?

Thank you,

Charles

Hi, Charles.

Videos can't be converted;

1. Make sure that FFMPEG library is installed on your server
2. Make sure that FFMPEG paths defined in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Videos -> Video settings are correct
3. Contect with your hosting provider and ask them what FFMPEG version is installed on your server. It may be that they use a very old version (below 1.2) of FFMPEG library. If it's so, then they need to upgrade as od library won't work with file encoding.

HI, Charles.

Hmm, interesting... it said that video can't be converted... but it was:

Anyway it seems to work... but also ask what FFMPEG version your serve has.
