Video issues

ISSUE SUMMARY:
1. Uploaded videos still shows as pending
2. When external video urls (e.g. youtube) are posted it does not show up in the backend under All Videos
3. In the frontend external urls work only for "superuser". For other registered members, it doesnt work. Clicking on video url opens a new blank page
4. server has ffmpeg installed

I am running jomsocial 4.1.3 and Joomla php 5.5.15 Joomla! 3.4.5
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. add video url from frontend. Video does not play
2 upload video. upload works but always shows as pending

Hi.

1. Your FFMPEG library version is 0.6.0... it's ancient version. Current version is: 2.8.2. Your version is just too old and will not process videos. Please, contact with your hosting provider. Also - after upgrade - make sure that you configured cron job. It's essential to process videos: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job
2. I just posted YT video on frontend and it's listed in backend: i.imgur.com/U8AOrS8.png
3. Video and it plays fine: i.imgur.com/Ek36czj.png

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hello Michal,
The FFMPEG library has been updated to the latest version. The cronjobs are in place. It does not seem to have solved the problem. Would you kindly look into this for me please

Are you sure it was upgraded? May I see version printscreen from ssh?

seem your FFMPEG version is not valid.
ffmpeg version N-76701-gf6e5b17

it must ffmpeg version 2.x
please contact your hosting support about. please make sure using latest version of ffmpeg
ffmpeg.org/

if you want using zencoder, you no need to setup ffmpeg.
