ISSUE SUMMARY:
When I attempt to upload a video from Jomsocial, a dialogue box pops up that says (-200) HTTP Error. I uploaded the same video using cpanel without a problem.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:

please changing php configuration:
post_max_size from 8M to 1024M
memory_limit from 128 to 1024 (if posible)
max_execution_time from 30 to 3000

I changed the setting in the public html directory php.ini file and it still does not work.

Is there another php.ini file that I should change in another folder?

I asked my hosting company, siteground to look into the issue and they were unable to correct the problem.

Here is their response:

I have checked the server and increased the specified settings to the suggested values. After that, I have noticed that the process started by your site when uploading is being killed by the monitoring software because it is taking too long to be completed. Due to that reason, I have added your user as "protected" in the configuration file of the monitoring software and the process is no longer being killed.

However, the issue persists. I have checked the server logs, however nothing is logged on the server. Furthermore, I have tried changing the PHP version but that did not resolve the issue.

We are experienced in dealing with various hosting-related Joomla issues, but sometimes there are issues that require deeper investigation, which includes dedicating time and effort for debugging a problem, and this is usually best done by a professional developer.

In this case, you should consider contacting the developers of Joomsocial and ask for their assistance on the matter as they are more familiar with their scripts than us.

Of course, we would gladly help if any action is required on our end. I will leave this ticket open so that you could update it if necessary.

Hi,

I have a look at site information system. the php configuration still no any changes
upload_max_filesize already 1000M
but max_execution_time still 30 seconds.

if you upload small video file, there is no issue. because uploading can finish before 30 seconds. with big file size, that impossibly. thats why you got that error.
please increase it to 3000 or more

please goto joomla backend > system > system information > > php information and have a look at
Loaded Configuration File.

after changing it, some server need to restart. better you asking your server support about it.

I made these changes, but still have the error. I will ask siteground if they have any advice:

max_execution_time = 9000; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 9000; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
memory_limit = 1024M; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume
post_max_size = 1024M; Maximum size of POST data that PHP will accept.
upload_max_filesize = 1024M; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.

Siteground says they have changed all the settings as requested, but I still get the error.
