ISSUE SUMMARY:

We want photos to be disabled completely.

In back end if we choose Photo settings, Photo Gallery - Enable photo gallery NO, then in the Home Page Activity Stream we no longer see 'add Photo' as an option in the status box. However, if you look in 'Comment' on the Activity Stream it is still possible to add a photo there

In groups we disable photos too. But if we go to a discussion and comment we can add a photo

Finally, in Events, if someone comments they can add a photo.

So even though we say NO to photos - we can't stop members putting them.

Hi, Susan.

Disabling Photos feature will not disable photos in comments. The difference is that a "Photo" is an object placed in album (if you upload via post box or in albums) and "photo in comment" is just a image file attached and displayed in comment (it's not stored in any album but directly on server as a resource).

But you can "block" using a bit of css:

.joms-comment__reply .joms-icon.joms-icon--add {
display: none !important;
}

Just add above code to your current template css file ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
