ISSUE SUMMARY: How do I share videos to my timeline? I see I can share to other social medias but not my own in Jomsocial.

jomsocial only support:
youtube
yahoo
myspace
flickr
vimeeo
blip.tv
dailymotion
live leak
metacafe

So you cannot share a video in your own jomsocial timeline? Do you not support sharing this content within jomsocial?

This is if say I find a video or picture on social and would like to share and or repost it on my time line. I do not see how I can do this as in I do not see the feature that would let me share / post this type of content on my timeline.

all stream items are share able as long that stream items as public privacy.
here I made a test at your dev site:

Why can we not "Share" a video or picture that is from a friend or on my timeline? Why does it have to be set to public? This seems very limited as this feature should be fundamental.

We are waiting for your newest version to be released before we update as the people working on our site will update it only once.

"Share" only for stream items that having public privacy only. this is by design.
imagine if you can sharing your friend stream items that having "friends" privacy. that shared stream will appear at other people that not as a friend of that stream owner.
it will make privacy overlapping.

for jomsocial 4.1 please wait for the news.
