How to increase limit of 8 images for 1 patch upload
Hello all,
Please help, I'm using JS 4.09 and I would to to increase the upload limit of 8 photos per 1 patch on the stream to perhaps 12 but couldn't find where the setting is for this or if it's possible?
There is no setting to control this. Only 8 photos are allowed to upload at once in postbox.
If you want to upload more at once - then upload them directly in album.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.
So yes it could be done by core hack in postbox scripts... but you'll be on your own in this case.

Great Michal, thank you! I've got that and willing to do it because it is important that the the site must be able to post more than 8 photos in 1 batch.
Basically, I needed to be able to duplicate our WeChat's Moments on our website, and very often WeChat Moments have 9 photos in one post.
Please can you tell me which file and where it is and which code needed to be modified? Many thanks.
Open JOOMLA_ROOT/components/com_community/assets/release_32/js/bundle.js with text editor, and find these strings below:
- "this.preview.pics.length>=8"
- ".length>8"
- ".length-8"
There should be only one match per string. Change the value (8) with desired upload limit per batch (9, 12, etc). Max upload limit should have changed now
