ISSUE SUMMARY: One of my friends uploaded two images today in the stream. Now the images seem to display on top of eachother, as you can see in the attachment.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Logon
2 Upload two images, of about 500/600 px wide.

that becuase the template that are you using, containing "dirty" CSS rules. here the custom CSS code to counter that CSS.
put this CSS at frontend template custom CSS, you can asking that template provider about how to put custom CSS to they template
