ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have problem posting video URL link in Jomsocial. The video posting does not show up in the activity stream on the frontpage. It is not showing in the user's profile either. The posted video does appear in the video section.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. Login into website
2. Go to VIDEOS and click ADD
3. Type in URL in Video URL box
4. Select Category (example General)
5. Click LINK VIDEO

RESULT
1. Check activity stream on frontpage and user profile, Activity recorded but nothing was shown in the activity
2. Check VIDEOS, video posted is there.
3. Check activity stream in backend. Activity is recorded but again action is empty.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect my video posting activity with the video link would show up in the activity stream.

Please you check again, should work fine now.. this issue caused by user points configuration.

Well, you are using old jomsocial version, please you upgrade to the latest version.

I went and posted a video URL with my user account. It is still not working. Even the video that you posted with the admin account does not have any detail of the video posted (no thumbnail, no link) in the activity. The activity just say "video test". Am I missing something here? Can you provide more detail how to configure the user points to not having this problem.

Because you are using old Jomsocial version, you need to update to the latest version for fixing this

I tried to move to 4.0.9 but a lots of thing broke. For example the avatars and uploaded pictures are all bent out of shape, my uploaded videos could not be played, posted video url are disallowed by youtube etc. Lots of problems. I need to fix this problem for version 3.2.16 so that my user can have something to use in the mean time while I work on moving the site to 4.0.9. Are you saying this problem is not fixable for 3.2.1.6? That is simply not possible because this video url link feature is a key feature of Jomsocial.

your 3rd party joomla template is designed for the latest jomsocial version, you can't use on older jomsocial version...

I suggest you always test with default joomla and jomsocial template, some of issue caused by 3rd party template

I change the template to default in the Jomsocial component admin. I still cannot post video url correctly. Can you help me to change my site to the default jomsocial template. I just want it to work. Thanks

I see you are still using gk_msocial template, I also cant login to your backend, please you check again the account.. it says dont have permission.

I really suggest you to upgrade to the latest version, we will help you if there any errore on the latest version, but if the issues is coming from older version we cant help you too much.
