YouTube video does not open in modal window

Hi.

Video from YouTube will not open in a modal window. Opens as a player in the stream.
The option has been selected in the Administration Panel.

An additional problem is that YouTube page can be opened in the same window. This causes the abandonment of the site by the user. YouTube page should open in a new window as it is eg. on FB.

Please address these issues.

OK, the problem with links opening in a new window. I turned on an option in the back up and running.

The problem is only with the modal window for the movie.

It's because you posted video as URL... not as an "object" video.
When you paste video URL then video will be played directly on stream disregarding settings in backend.
Only when you add video as "object" to video site section wit will be played in modal window.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

I added the video as a video rather than status or message. The effect is identical.

Still no modal window. The video starts again in the stream.

What do you?

Whether this means that only video files sent directly to the server run in the modal window? Video from URLs are activated only in the stream. Anyway?

The answer is no and yes :) No because not only UPLOADED videos but also videos that ware ADDED (or linked, what ever you call it, butd they appear in JS VIDEOS) to videos section. And yes because videos posted using video URL pasted in post box (as a text0 will be displayed on stream directly.
