ISSUE SUMMARY:
There is something I wonder about, and that is why it's necessary to have an account on Amazon S3 Before own video from own computer can be uploaded? I find this a bit strange, since uploading of videos from url work as expected. Is this something JS by them self have coded in and made it impossible to upload own videos and what is the actual reason for that? Actually I have tried to find a reason but nothing to find about it.

Isn't it wrong to almost force people to Amazon S3, even if I know that is up to each and one to have an account with Amazon S3?

Amazon S3 is not mandatory at any jomsocial functionality. for video upload from local computer you need to install FFMPEG for video converter.

FFMPEG must installed at server site. here the doc:

video setting can be found at Videos > video setting

I suggest you to asking your server support for FFMPEG configuration.

the flow is like this: user upload video > wait until cronjob executed > video converted > user can see it at videos page
