I want to change the size of the album thumb nails and when in the album those thumbnails as well. Is there a way to do this without having to go to style.css?

Hi Richard,

you must do it by using CSS. every template having they own "custom css" standard, so it will not disappear at upgrade process.
please asking your template provider about it.
