Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Hi, I have successfully uploaded an mp4 video that is 16MB. However when I try to upload an mp4 video that is 85MB I get an error message when the upload is finished "This video file type is not supported". It is supported because the smaller mp4 file works fine. Upload limit on the server is set to 10GB! - so its not a filesize issue. I also triple checked the Media Options and mp4 is definitely listed (... and the smaller mp4 file loads fine!).
I checked with Siteground support and they cannot see a problem server side - they suggest it is a component (uploader) bug.
Are you experiencing anything similar or have you any suggestions?
post_max_size integer
Sets max size of post data allowed. This setting also affects file upload. To upload large files, this value must be larger than upload_max_filesize. If memory limit is enabled by your configure script, memory_limit also affects file uploading. Generally speaking, memory_limit should be larger than post_max_size. When an integer is used, the value is measured in bytes. Shorthand notation, as described in this FAQ, may also be used. If the size of post data is greater than post_max_size, the $_POST and $_FILES superglobals are empty. This can be tracked in various ways, e.g. by passing the $_GET variable to the script processing the data, i.e. <form action="edit.php?processed=1">, and then checking if $_GET is set.
