Video Convert Issue - Could not convert video Message

Hi All,

We are using Joomla 2.5.28, JomSocial 3.2.1.5 and JoomForest theme.

We are having an issue with video conversion, all of my uploaded videos are in a state of pending ( from last month ). Below is the result When I execute the cron job manually:

<messages>
<message>Could not convert video</message>
<message>No temporary videos to delete.</message>
<message>No files to transfer.</message>
<message>No Videos to transfer.</message>
<message>
No avatars or cover of users needed to be transferred
</message>
<message>
No avatars or cover of groups needed to be transferred
</message>
<message>Removed Pending Invitation for Past Event</message>
</messages>

Hi, Anand.

1. Do you have FFMPEG library installed on your server?
2. In what version.
3. Did you provided correct path to FFMPEG library in Backend -> Extensions -> JomSocial -> Videos -> Video configuration -> FFMPEG path?
4. What file you want to convert? avi? flv? mpeg? mp4?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

please upgrade your FFMPEG to latest on from:
ffmpeg.org/

your FFMPEG is git version. maybe that not stable. please use 2.6

If still cannot I need your FTP + administrator access detail. you can put any credentials information by editing your first post at this topic. put it at site info form.

ffmpeg not found. seem you put wrong path at video setting. please ask your server support where the FFMPEG location is.
or if you have SSH access you can do this command:

which ffmpeg
with that command you will now where the path is. and make sure that access able for non root user (public access able)

Hi Anand,

I found the issue, that because your server prevent this functions:
system, shell_exec, passthru, exec
Disabled functions at php configuration

one of that functions must be enabled.
