I need to have 2 different categories for photos.

To be specific, users will be able to upload photos and in the admin I can approve the photos and put them into one of two categories. In category 1, all users would be able to view. In category 2 paid members would be able to enlarge the photos and see full size or view. Is this possible?

is not possible to do that. you must create new plugin for that.
