Hi, is there any way to control the video quality of the Zencoder output for JomSocial? The default Zencoder output is 'medium' quality. How do I change this please?

Hi, Andy.

app.zencoder.com/docs/faq/about-encoding/best-quality

For more questions - please, ask Zencoder support team.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Thanks Michal. I followed your JomSocial integration videos that explain how to create a bucket policy for S3 and what to put into the policy. It doesn't however mention quality and I had hoped that someone here could give a beginner an idea on what I need to insert into the policy to manage the output quality (assuming thats how it is done). I will contact Zencoder and hope that they can help otherwise I will have to look for a different solution.

Thanks anyway.

Hi, Andy.

Thanks, I'll note that lack in our documentation.
It will be great if you could share informations about quality setting in Zencoder.

Actually it looks as though it is already covered in jomSocial.

Check out the file components/com_community/libraries/zencoder.php

There are settings for all the video and audio output parameters. It looks as though multiple outputs are not yet covered.

I guess we can just alter theses and also make sure this is not overwritten during an upgrade.

Cheers
