Inconsistent photo uploads

I can upload a photo in the wall without trouble or delay. When I go to an album I own to upload a new photo, it goes through all the motions of allowing me to drop a photo into the area, it shows a progress bar to upload the photo, which appears to complete, but the photo never shows up in the album.

What could be causing this issue?

Hi Jeff,

I think this issue related with SEF setting, can you try disable the SEF for checking this?

I can login to frontend now, but I cant login to backend, I get this "You do not have access to the administrator section of this site."

That simple change now allows uploads to an owned album. Thanks.
