I am having an issue with video conversion all of my uploaded videos are in a state of pending. If I execute a cron job manually I see the following error:

FFmpeg could not convert videos

I have ffmpeg version ffmpeg-0.6.5-1.el5.rf installed with ffmpeg php version 0.6.2 flvtool2 version flvtool2-1.0.6-1.el5.rf JomSocial 3.2.1.5 and Joomla 2.5.27

Below is the command for the MP4 Conversion: -s hd720 -vcodec libx264 -preset slow -crf 24 -acodec aac -ab 96k -ar 44100
HD Conversion command: -s hd720 -vcodec libx264 -preset slow -crf 24 -acodec aac -ab 96k -ar 44100

Hi Garet,

That version of FFMPEG is to old to work with Jomsocial. Have a read of the following post and the attached PDF, even though it is referring to centos OS the most common issue we see is the version is to old. This can be a problem on a shared host as a lot of hosting companies will not upgrade to a more recent version.

Paul the PDF was not attached.. Also what is the current version? This is actually a VPS so I do have shell access so I will look into this issue.

The PDF is attached to the other post, sorry that wasn't clear. the current version is 2X i have compiled a build that was 1.2 and it worked so i don't think it needs to be the latest. I have actually had trouble compiling the latest version. FFMPEG can a very troublesome component so i hope it goes well for you.
