GK Msocial template always override jomsocial template and they did not follow our newest code.
please copy activities.index.php from /components/com_community/templates/default/ to /templates/gk_msocial/html/com_community/

Whoa! If they override our files... how could they say "our newest code"?? If they ocerride OUR files then THEY need to follow OUR newest code. But that is not the case in this issue ;)

As for link on activity stream: links will be always shrinked when displayed. You may check that on our demo site or Community. This is expected as some URLs may be quite log. Also you should do a space Pres space) after you post a URL to be fetched. You may check my latest post on your stream. Or video from YouTube should be added as video not as URL. But this is optional.

As for Members not displayed: You have the same module twice on frontpage. Once as "Membros" and position "js_side_frontpage' and second time "Membros de Missões Urbanas" at "bottom1". So module display only once it content. Disable "membros" module and bottom module will be populated with avatars.
