I have over 1gb of avatar images on dev.girltalk.dk installation and I am sure many of them are unused.

I considered writing a custom plugin to go through all the files, verify if they are referenced to a current user and if not delete.

before I spend hours doing that, it would be nice to know if there is a better solution. Is it something the cronjob can handle?

This site is in development and will replace the main site within a few days. I just ported all users and jomsocial data which is up to date now.

Hi Tomas,

at jomsocial latest version, each users only will have "one" avatar file. in your case or issue, it might be from prev or old version of jomsocial. each users, avatar filename stored at table: #_community_users. e.g:
if user having this avatar value images/avatar/a6755c6e9a21e873702b649b.jpg, the avatar files for that user will be:
images/avatar/a6755c6e9a21e873702b649b_stream_.jpg
images/avatar/a6755c6e9a21e873702b649b.jpg
images/avatar/profile-a6755c6e9a21e873702b649b.jpg
images/avatar/thumb_a6755c6e9a21e873702b649b.jpg

can I get your phpmyadmin/cpanel and FTP access detail. I want have a look by my self to make sure about it, if there are unused avatar files.

you can put any credentials information by editing your first post at this topic. and put it at site info form.

I cant find any unused avatars. each users, groups, and events only can have one avatar for each.
in what why do you know there are any unusend avatars?

I was assuming that there was unused avatars, but I am glad to hear that there aren't!
