Hi,

Is it possible to keep the Download Link to original photos if I am using Amazon S3?

Right now I am getting a 404 error when using the link for the original image file. It refers to the old file/folder on my own server (originalUrl).

Please clarify.

Thanks...

Hi, Martin.

I'm not sure, but it seems to be bug... please, hold on - I need to test this issue on one of our test sites.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

Thanks for this info.

Just to get one thing straight - the images that were in the folder "originalphotos" are to be considered lost as they are not present on Amazon S3? If so... Auch!

Hmmm... Not so sure you are correct....

The folder "originalphotos" is empty except from a few files added after changing to S3. ALL remaining subfolders are gone and were not transfered to S3...

Any idea where they are?

Hmmm - I think I am wrong... The folder "originalphotos" has been empty for some time. My oldest backup was done some days prior to changing to S3 and it has no contents in this folder as well.

I wonder why because I seem to remember that this folder was quite large due to the many photos uploaded.

I am really confused now - is there any way JS can delete the contents of "originalphotos"? I really cannot see myself having done it on purpose...
