Video attached again
I can't see the video attached to my ticket. I'm assuming attached files are only visible to admins. my Video file is not attached correctly to this ticket you can download it from
mysite.com/testvideo64sec3mb.mp4
(my domain name instead of "mysite.com")
I have made changes in mysite.com/php.ini
Have also added the line to my .htaccess:
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/myserver/www/mysite.com/php.ini
when I check mysite.com/info.php I can see the mex_execution changes are reflected correctly for both local and master values
Problem: If I go mysite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo (system information -> PHP information) the changes in my mysite.com/php.ini are shown correctly for the master value, but the local value does not change.
I have googled all day and can't find a solution. of course I have tried restarting my apache too.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?
Hi Camron,
you must asking your server support for more detail. because this is server configuration issue.
upload_max_filesize 2M
post_max_size 8M
memory_limit 128MB
max_execution_time 0
all that values still very low.
Regards
Hi,
I found out the problem for this video was in fact
upload_max_filesize 2M
I feel silly for not seeing this sooner myself.
Max_execution_timed=0 is fine so far.
Could you please tell me how jomsocial an ffmpeg will react in the following 2 cases so that I can eliminate hours of testing. I am trying to figure out what the max video size is that my server with 2gb ram will be able to convert.
1: If I keep "memory_limit 128MB" does that mean that jomsocial and ffmpeg will only be able to convert videos of maximum 128mb?
2: If my server has for example 2GB RAM does that mean max file size for conversion is limited to 2 gb if I set php "memory_limit 2000MB" ?
Thank you kindly.
Hi,
1, memory limit only to make limitation for PHP to not using memory more than 128MB. this is for prevent PHP abused sever resources.
2. RAM is a memory like your laptop. how big you need it? that depend what any process at your server is.
for more I suggest you to asking your server support about it. jomsocial not convert the video, jomsocial only tell your server to convert some video. and rest of, jomsocial only waiting the respond from server it self.
Regards
I can now upload videos with no problem, and test .mp4 video has processed good but can not convert .flv video.
Can you explain why?
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Hi Camron,
it can be from the source it self. something wrong with that FLV video encoding. can send it to me for that video? This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
