Change avatar from album photo

Is it not possible to select an album photo when using the change avatar? If I upload a photo I already have in my album again to use as avatar, I then have it uploaded to the site twice. Seems like choose from album should be an option. Am I missing something?

its by design, for avatar photo cannot from album.
