I'm a bit slow. I just noticed that a user viewing a gallery from a PC can not right click and save an image. There is only the option to click the download link. But if you view from the timeline you can right click and save just fine.

Is it anything I can do to enable this on the gallery page? Reason I need this is because I have a script that watermarks the images on the fly when showing gallery images. But when a user clicks download, it shows the original image without the watermark (which I do not want)

Hi Arthur,

The element structure for big photo is full with div code for tagging members, and the original img is behind that div, so you can't download by using "save image as"

for getting the full path of big image you can trace it by using firebugs / chrome dev tools, and find "photoDisplay"

I just wondering, how you add the watermark to the images? are you using 3rd party plugin / hack the code?

thank you
Dimas

This was an component I got created. It was based off the one plugin made by EXTLY. I have a question I'm about to post up in a different topic. As for this issue I guess Ill ask a developer for a hack for this. I need to change the download option to point to only the watermarked images. Or make the plugin watermark both the smaller and original images.

Hi Arthur,

Yes, for time being you should do hack code.. but anyway, in version 3.3 we will change this behavior, so you can do right click->click save photo :)

thank you
