External video providers does not work

Hi,

I have jomsocial 3.2.0.5. I can not not link videos except youtube. What the error can be ?

Please check on dev site ( test site ) I am giving access here.

Some providers changed their API so whe removed them in recent versions of JomSocial.
What exactly providers you tested?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Only Youtube works for me. Can you please tell me about others ?

Break - not supported
Live Leak - it's paid service? Couldn't find any video...

Tested on JomSocial 3.2.14.

Hi, Parth Lawate.

You have issue with menu items. Try this fix first:

When you upgrading JomSocial by uninstalling it, menu items in JomSocial toolbar lost "connection" with component. Joomla! mark them as disabled and with notice: "Component 'com_community' does not exist". In order to fix it please follow this instruction:

- click on menu item in JomSocial menu in order to edit it
- when in edit mode don't change anything
- save
- menu item should be fixed
- do it for every JomSocial related menu items (if needed) in all other menus

Make sure that you fix ALL JomSocial related links that way ;) Especially check Main menu - I saw some manu items with that issue there.

Hi, Parth Lawate.

It will be good if you upgrade to latest version of JomSocial -> 3.2.1.5 as we removed few providers.
I also reported issues related with MySpaceVideos and Blip.tv
The rest should work.

I can't test it on your dev site as I get blank frontend and even if error reporting is on - no error is displayed. On your live site I tested flickr videos and they ware working but without thumbnail...

Please, make safe copy of this file:

ROOT/components/com_community/helpers/image.php

And replace original with patched file from zip package.

This will fix activity stream posts fro blip.tv and myspace.com.
