How to allow users to set a photo as profile picture

I want to be able to put some photos that people can choose from and set one as their profile picture (avatar) Ideally I want to put this in an album in a group. When I'm logged in to the site front end with an admin account I do see the option to set the image as profile picture, but if logged in as any other user I don't get that. Where is the setting(s) I need to change to allow regular users to be able to do this?

Hi, Andrew.

It's because you can set as cover ONLY photos that ware uploaded by you. You can't set as cover, photos uploaded by someone else.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

I have my photos set as viewable by all members so I assumed this would work :-( What I was actually trying to do was to supply some default avatar images for new users so they could pick one of those if they didn't want to upload their own image.

Will have to think of if any other way to do this...

No, this can't be done... but you may set own default cover if you don't like default one:

Ok thanks, I have already changed the default avatars, it was more about helping users change to something that isn't the default one.
