The subject ticket registered an issue where text was appearing above the image...

In my case it was where PHOTOS had been selected from the JomSocial HOME menu, and then selecting an image. The issue is an incompatibility with the "System - RokBox " plugin (2.07) from RocketTheme, LLC. Suspect same name js selectors.

Hope this helps someone else.

Some of RokBox plugins sometimes make our jomsocial site sometimes broken, and if you guys have the same issue with I suggest you contact the rok developer directly.
