share button is not appearing on friend posts

Share button is appearing if post privacy is public

else its not coming :/ why?

Hi, Tarek.

That is correct and expected. You can share only public posts. In other case you'll be able to share as public a content that original author prefer to stay private.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Indeed but see.. If I am sharing something on my wall in 'FRIEND MODE' then my friend can share it on their wall ...ts common sense

No, it can't be as you sharing something CAN SET PRIVACY to shared object. So if your friend want to post something only for him and his friends... some of his friends may change privacy setting for it and it will be visible for public.

So no, this will be not changed.

So if I need on my site share button visible to every post than what should i do?

Rebuild sharing feature... a lot of core hacking.

Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.

If you insist to have this feature, consider to hire a professional developer:
