Hi.

We have a really strange problem regarding Amazon S3 at our community.

We already set up S3 for our site. And so far its working. Our cron works every 2 minutes. So when i upload a photo to the community, the photo is moving to S3 in between of 2 minutes. I can see the pictures in gallery etc.

So no problem at all.
But after the photos are moved to S3 (after 2 mins) and i go to my gallery and select any image and hit the button „set as profile picture" (avatar) i get a blank screen and the url in browsers address bar looks like this: mydomain.com/profil/14super-user/linkPhoto

So we can’t make any changes to our avatars if 2 minutes are over since upload time. When i try to change the avatar in between of the 2 minutes since upload it works without problems. But how i mentioned before, after 2 minutes (after cron moves files to S3) its impossible to change avatar.

Hope you got a solution for this…

Thanks in advance...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

hi tahir,

Please check again I just fix issue, the patch is in this file components/com_community/controllers/profile.php, from this code (line 1367):

$content = cRemoteGetContent($photo->getImageURI());

to be like this :
$content = CRemoteHelper::getContent($photo->getImageURI());

thank you
