photo and album sharing

Hi,
lets say that i have a few groups in the site, and i uploaded an photo album at the main feed page, and i want to share the album with one of my group inside the group, how do i do that?

Hi, Amit.

Main activity stream and group activity stream are one way: group activity is posted on main stream, but what is posted on main stream CAN'T be posted/shared on group stream.
You need to post about this album inside group...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

So, if i need to send same photo for 3 different groups, the photo will show at the main activity stream 3 time?!
so the community will see the pic 3 time?

Yes, if you share the same picture in 3 different groups in short time, your main activity stream will be populated with the same picture 3 time in a row.

Hi,
is there a way to avoid it?

and, when i am sending the same photo for 100 group, is the photo will be save 100 time at my server and if a person will go inside the pics the same photo will be there 100 time?

is there a way to avoid duplicate picture?

No, there is NO way to check and compare photos... feature like that will kill your server.
Situation you described is only a hypothetical one - no on will upload the same photo 100 times... I guess ;)
Each photo is considered as a NEW one.

Also for activity, if you upload on 3 group streams the same photo. For main activity stream EACH POST is a NEW one... it doesn't matter that content is multiplicated. It was multiplicated in purpose by user - not the system.
